He is also a partner in Abe Fisher, which focuses on adventurous takes on old-world Jewish cuisine, as well as Dizengoff, an authentic, Israeli-style hummusiya. In 2016, Chef Solomonov was a finalist for “Outstanding Chef” at the James Beard Foundation Awards, and Abe Fisher was a semifinalist for “Best New Restaurant” in 2015. Chef Solomonov was also voted Eater’s “Chef of the Year” and was featured in Esquire’s September 2014 issue as one of “22 Men Redefining Style Across America.” Chef Solomonov has participated in Lemon: Chicago and annually in The Great Chefs Event in Philadelphia as a chef and has donated dinner as an auction item. He adds, “Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation has a particularly huge impact because when you raise money for research, there’s something very tangible about the results. Particularly now that I have two young children of my own, it just becomes more real.”</image:caption>
